Kensight (DAS) 1911 Sights Adjustable Rear Combat Tritium Night Sights, Serrated Blade - Fits Novak LoMount Sight Dovetail Cut
Kensight SightsThis Kensight DAS (Defensive Adjustable Sight) Rear Night Sight is fully adjustable for both windage and elevation. This makes our sight a versatile sight upgrade for concealed carry, or duty pistols, that may also see use in competition or target shooting endeavors. The windage and elevation click-adjustments are positive and precise, allowing reliable and consistent POI (point of impact) adjustments on the fly.
This Kensight Rear Night Sight is equipped with a partially serrated slanted blade for reduced glare, which incorporates two self-luminous Green Tritium Lamps nestled within two High Visibility White Dots for a 3-dot sight picture that's quick and easy to acquire. The combination of the Tritium, and White Dots, allow the sights to be equally useful in both low light, or daylight conditions.
The Kensight DAS fits the popular Novak LoMount rear sight dovetail often found on many factory-produced and custom 1911 pistols.
NOTE: The rear sight sits a little higher than our standard adjustable sight, and requires a minimum front sight height of 0.230" tall.
Novak® LoMount™ Dovetail Sight Cut
The Novak® LoMount™ dovetail is a somewhat standard dovetail sight cut found on many popular factory-fitted (OEM) and custom platforms. The Kensight® DAS™ (Defensive Adjustable Sights) and DFS™ (Defensive Fixed Sights) are the perfect low profile upgrade for your concealed carry, or combat carry pistols, due to a smooth, thoroughly "dehorned", low-profile exterior. The benefit of this feature is there are no sharp edges to cut hands or catch on clothing during the draw stroke which compliments your concealed carry or defensive style 1911. This particular sight will only fit an existing Novak® LoMount™ 1911 dovetail. If you unsure of your current dovetail configuration and would like to know more about dovetail styles, click the button below.
Add The Optional Front Sight
A front sight with dovetail dimensions of 0.330" (Width) x 65° (Angle) x 0.075" (Depth) has become known as a “standard” front sight in the industry. While these were first seen on 1911 slides with the Novak LoMount rear sight, other OEM manufactures have adopted this same size for their 1911 platform. There are two basic configurations of the “standard” front sight base. One is the “Flat Base” style and the other is the “Contoured Base”. The dovetail dimensions are both the same, so the base selection is a personal preference depending on the profile on the top of your 1911 slide. We recommend that you check your existing front sight dovetail dimensions, before purchasing the standard front sight.
DAS™ Suggested Front Sight Height
The front sight height will greatly vary depending on your rear sight selection. Most of the Kensight DAS˜ (Defensive Adjustable Sights) will require a front sight height of 0.190” - 0.200” tall. We ship most of our DAS sight sets with the recommended 0.200” tall front sight. In some cases your existing front sight may work, but this could limit the amount of elevation adjust-ability in the rear sight. If you would like to learn more about front sight heights, visit our Front Sight Height Guide.

Great customer service
I ordered this sight for my Les Baer premiere II. Upon receiving it I realized it was the wrong cut for my gun. An error caused by the website and my just not looking closely enough. I called the office and spoke to Emily Henderson, she was very polite and helpful. She said the correct sight would be sent and that she would send me a tag to return ship the incorrect sight. Less than 30 minutes later received email with tracking for new sight and shipping tag for the other one. First rate way to deal with customers, Thank you Emily

Very well made but needs info added to description
I purchased these for my colt defender. They are very well made and the tritium lamps worked as expected. Installation of the rear sight required the expected fitting for a 1911. The front sight however is a slip fit and comes with about a .065" hole drilled vertically through the front of the blade for the supplied roll pin to hold the sight in place which requires drilling of the top of the slide. For someone like me this was not a huge issue because I have the equipment and experience to do it. I was still hesitant to drill a hole in the slide of my 900$ 1911. I looked again at the product description and found no mention of this feature. Making sure the customer knows that drilling the frame for the roll pin may be necessary would give these sights, specifically the front, 5 stars. Reply By Kensight: The front sights are not required to be pinned in place, however some 1911 manufactures do offer this option. Since our sights have a slightly oversized dovetail, they can be fitted tightly and no pin is needed. I always place a drop of Blue Lock-Tight under my personal sight installs as added security ..but again it is not a requirement.
