This Kensight Competition Front Sight incorporates a bright, light gathering fiber optic rod that naturally draws the shooter's eye to the front post for quicker initial sight acquisition and faster sight recovery from shot-to-shot. In order to ensure the strength and integrity of their front sights, Kensight wire-EDM machines them from 4140 chrome moly steel and then heat treats the completed parts to a hardness of RC 38-40.
This competition front sight comes equipped with a 0.100" or 0.118" wide blade that is partially serrated for reduced glare. The 0.060" diameter fiber optic rod is protected by a unique front sight blade shape featuring a series of cutouts along the top and sides that allow the rod to gather ambient light while also shielding the fragile fiber optic tube from potentially damaging impacts. This sight comes with a flat base that is optimal for use with a flat-topped slide or for those who intend to file and blend the front sight base to match the contour of their pistol's slide for a seamless installation. Compatible with Novak type front sight dovetail cuts (0.330" x 65 degree x 0.075") as typically found on both customized and factory 1911 pistols.

* Novak type front sight dovetails can vary in Depth between different manufacturers. Depth can be as shallow as 0.060" or as deep as 0.075". Because of these variances, fitting may be required for installation.

Any product we determine to be defective will be repaired or replaced solely at our discretion. To receive warranty repair or replacement, the owner must send the product to be evaluated by KFS Industries Warranty Services located at our Atlanta, Georgia headquarters. In addition to the provisions of this warranty, the owner may also have other rights that can vary by state. No other warranties are implied or expressed other than what is specifically stated here.
All products returned to KFS Industries for a warranty claim must have prior approval of a KFS Customer Service employee in the form of a Return Material Authorization Number (RMA). The RMA must be displayed on the exterior of the return carton. Merchandise returned without an RMA will be refused. The RMA number assigned will expire 30 days from date of issue. I had purchased a contoured base and a flat base fiber optic front sight. I wound up using the contoured base but this flat base will remain in my parts inventory for future use. It’s attractive, rugged, and well-made.
Nothing wrong with the workmanship of the sight at all but i had to return it because it didnt fit my Remington R1 Enhanced at all. It was very loose in the Novak cut, too loose. You could slide it all the way through from either side. So i had to return it. Not sure if it was the sight or my pistol but the Remington dovetails are supposed to be cut to Novak dimensions..so im not sure
